“Get to EMEA!” was a huge goal for Crossbeam when I first interviewed for the job. At the time we didn’t have any staff presence there and our competitor had established a strong following in their home continent. We knew we wanted to bring our brand essence to EMEA and give a first flavor of an event program. We accomplished this through a mini-tour: A London Meet Up, a sponsored booth at Saastock, and a happy hour co-marketing event with Chili Piper and Intercom.

Results.

Sometimes things go great, but you don’t get the results you’re hoping for. This event represents that story for me. Our strategy was to make it into the EMEA Market with events. Through this London meet-up, we achieved that goal. The energy was warm and we delivered content, drinks, and community for attendees.

Our second goal was to create an event program that meaningfully contributed to revenue. Even at 90-days post-event, we didn’t see that from this event. We decided to discontinue our plans to continue these meet-ups in their original form.
